# supercat.app home hero — delivery note

Rendered from storyboard **`supercat-hero-video` v3** (approved 2026-10-07; the operator pre-authorised the render).

- **`hero.mp4`**: 1920×1080, 30 fps, H.264 + AAC, moov at the front (faststart), 79.0 s (2,370 frames). Size and checks are listed under "Verification" below.
- **`poster.jpg`**: 1920×1080, frame 1 of the film (the hook text and the four real Solstice deliverables).
- **No voiceover.** Every beat is told in on-screen text. Chat text is 46 px, beat titles 92 px (104 px on the poster), proof labels 40 px, the partner caption 28 px.
- **Loop:** the close (logo + "Text SuperCat on WhatsApp.") sits on the same cream-and-sage background as frame 1 and cuts straight back to it. The music fades out over the last 2 s, so the loop point is quiet.

## Beats and timings

| # | Time | Beat | On screen |
|---|---|---|---|
| s1 | 0:00–0:04 | Hook / poster | "Say what you need. / *It builds all of it.*" + the four real Solstice deliverables: Software · cohort portal, Deck · PowerPoint, Analysis · Excel, Video · MP4 |
| s2 | 0:04–0:12.5 | The request | The title moves to the top left and the four slots empty. Owner: "We’re starting a 12-week leadership program for 24 of our people. The committee wants to know what it costs and whether it pays back, and people need somewhere to track progress." |
| s3 | 0:12.5–0:17.5 | Four deliverables arrive | The tiles land 0.8 s apart. The video tile plays the real `solstice-walkthrough.mp4` (muted). |
| s4 | 0:17.5–0:25.5 | Change your mind → Behind flag | "Change your mind. / *Everything follows.*" Owner: "The program lead needs to see who’s falling behind." SuperCat: "Done. Anyone behind schedule now shows a red Behind flag in the cohort list, with a one-click reminder." |
| s5 | 0:25.5–0:35.5 | Fee → real workbook recalculates | Owner: "The facilitator fee is now $18,000. Update the budget." SuperCat: "Updated. The program now costs $48,200, or $2,008 per person, and ROI is 282%. Retention value hasn’t changed." The sheet dissolves from the original workbook to the recalculated one. |
| s6 | 0:35.5–0:48 | Before you post it, it checks the number | Owner: "Can you check my announcement before it goes out? “Over 200 guests are joining us on November 12.”" SuperCat: "Close, but I’d change it. 214 people registered, and 12 cancelled. 198 are confirmed and 4 haven’t paid yet, so “over 200” only holds if you count the unpaid ones." |
| s8 | 0:48–1:00 | It checks the listing against the record | Owner: "Can you check Marcus’s listing for 4127 Switchgrass Lane?" SuperCat: "It says four bedrooms; the record says 3. “Perfect for young families” and “walking distance to Grace Community Church” are Fair Housing risks. Here’s a rewrite." At 0:57 the screen moves to the "Suggested rewrite" card. |
| s9 | 1:00–1:08.5 | It tells you the cost once… | Owner: "Send all 17 overdue members the same reminder today." SuperCat: "Can do. One thing first: Vance & Sons is 97 days lapsed with an $1,800 invoice. I’d call that one." |
| s10 | 1:08.5–1:15 | …then does what you decide | Owner: "Same reminder for everyone. I’ll call Vance myself." SuperCat: "Done. All 17 are getting the reminder, Vance & Sons included. That call is yours." |
| s12 | 1:15–1:19 | Close | SuperCat logo + "Text SuperCat on WhatsApp." Nothing else. It loops to s1. |

From s2 to s10 the caption reads: "Conversations adapted from real ones with our users, rewritten for a fictional business."
Two partner beats were dropped on the board to stay under 80 s: s7 Maple Ridge insurance certificate and s11 Tri-State CE certificate.

## Every figure in a chat, and the screen it comes from

| Figure | Beat | Screen shown beside it (source file) |
|---|---|---|
| 12-week, 24 people | s2 | The owner's own request (content.md §1). It is not claimed from a screen. |
| Behind flags, one-click "Send reminder" | s4 | Solstice cohort list: `producthunt-gallery/shots/sol-roster.png`, crop of the four Behind rows (33% / 25% / 21% / 13%, ⚠ Behind, Send reminder / ✓ Reminder sent) → `public/hero/roster.jpg` |
| $18,000 facilitator fee | s5 | Budget & ROI sheet, recalculated: `shots/solstice-budget-after.png` (from `source/solstice-budget-after-18000.xlsx`). It replaces the original sheet `shots/solstice-budget.png`, which shows $15,000 (from `solstice/solstice-leadership-accelerator-budget-roi.xlsx`). |
| $48,200 total (was $45,200) | s5 | Same sheet, "Total program cost" row |
| $2,008 per person (sheet: $2,008.33; was $1,883.33) | s5 | Same sheet, "Cost per participant" row |
| ROI 282% (was 308%) | s5 | Same sheet, "ROI (net benefit ÷ program cost)" row |
| Retention value unchanged | s5 | From the workbook inputs: 24 × (18% − 10%) × $120,000 × 80% = $184,320 in both versions. I re-checked it by hand: (184,320 − 48,200) / 48,200 = 282.4%, and (184,320 − 45,200) / 45,200 = 307.8%. |
| 214 registered, 198 confirmed, 4 pending payment, 12 cancelled; November 12 | s6 | Harborline Registrations: `shots/events-registrations.png`, crop of the date header "Thursday, November 12, 2026, Ropewalk Hall" and the four stat tiles Showing 214 · Confirmed 198 · Pending payment 4 · Cancelled 12 → `public/hero/harbor-reg.jpg` |
| 4127 Switchgrass Lane; 4 vs 3 bedrooms; "Perfect for young families" and "walking distance to Grace Community Church" Fair Housing flags; suggested rewrite | s8 | Bluestem Realty live demo, `https://bluestem-realty.bandit.supercat.app/admin?tour=1`, step 2 "Listing copy checked by AI". **Re-taken at 2x on 2026-10-07** (`storyboard-src/blue-full-2x.png`). The crop shows "Check against the record": "The copy says 4 bedrooms; the listing record says 3." plus the two Fair Housing findings. It then shows the "Suggested rewrite" card ("…Three spacious bedrooms…"). The live screen matched the board's chat, so nothing changed. |
| 17 overdue | s9, s10 | Cedar Valley Chamber Renewals: `shots/chamber-renewals.png`, the "Overdue 17" tab and "17 members · $8,750 in annual dues" |
| Vance & Sons 97 days lapsed, $1,800 | s9 | Same screen, Vance & Sons' AI risk note: "High risk: Vance & Sons Insurance is 97 days lapsed, has an overdue $1800 invoice…". The crop is cut to the risk note, as the board asked. The renewal line on the same card ("98 days ago") is not in frame. |
| Send reminder | s10 | Same card's actions: "Send reminder", "Personal email", "Last reminder 3 months ago" |

## Music

**“Inspired” — Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)**, Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). Commercial use is OK **with credit**. This is the board's chosen track m1, the same file (`public/music/inspired.mp3`, md5 `dca90a8f…`).
It plays from 0:00 under the whole film, normalised low (−24 LUFS integrated), with a 1 s fade-in and a 2 s fade-out at the end.
**Credit still to be placed:** the credit line is not in the video (the brief allows nothing on the close but the logo and the line). Put it on supercat.app, for example in the footer or a credits page:

## Not done / to know
- **Music credit on supercat.app** (see above). Without it, the CC BY licence is not met.
- **Bulk send isn't visible in the demo** (STORY.md known gap). In s10 the screen proves the 17 and the Vance & Sons card, but not the sending itself.
- **Proof crops on a phone:** at ~360 px wide, the screen crops are decorative proof and the chat bubbles carry the figures. The crops read at the ~640 px laptop size. Harborline's four tiles sit in one real row, so their numbers stay small.
- The bubble that the board's s3 left out (“On it. I’ll build…”) and the s5 follow-up ("That one line took about 26 points off the ROI…") were not added. They were cut on the board for time.
- The Maple Ridge (s7) and Tri-State (s11) beats are on the board as dropped alternates. Either can replace a kept partner beat.
